Plan a #lowcarbonbirding trip to Normandy N°2

The Marais du Cotentin et du Bessin regional park is just a ferry ride to Cherbourg away.  This important RAMSAR wetland boasts France’s largest area of winter-flooding pastures.  Species of particular interest include: White Stork, Bluethroat, Melodious, Savi’s and Fan-tailed Warblers. Large numbers of waders are present along the coast from August to April, whilst September can see some spectacular sea-watching providing good views of Balearic Shearwater and Mediterranean Gull, all 4 species of skua, Sabine’s Gull and much more.
